Different working days per task

05/28/15 Edited 12/09/19

New smartsheet user here.  I really like it!

However, I need a way to change working days on a task level.  Is this possible?

For example, I have  "cure time" for concrete finish work.  The time is continuous regardless of holidays and non-working days.  The concrete just sits and cures.  Nothing else needs to happen.  Unfortunately, if cure time lands on a holiday, the gnatt chart will show one additional day.  If I then change the "duration" to account for the holiday, I wind up having to recheck it each and every time a predessor is modified.  This is tedious and dangerous in my line of work.

Seems like there should be a simple fix? Is there?

Other than that, so far it's awesome.

This is not possible I am afraid. The working time is for all sheets not per resource or per task as in ms ms project.

Happy to hear you are enjoying Smartsheet! JamesR is correct, there isn’t a way to have individual working days for tasks in a sheet but I will add your vote for this enhancement request!

I am happy to announce the ability to set partial day duration (hours, minutes, and seconds) and 24 hour elapsed time is here! Check out my announcement for more information and to ask questions: https://community.smartsheet.com/announcement/new-smartsheet-critical-path-and-duration-minutes-hours-and-weeks

    Travis,

This is indeed a great step forward.  We just now need to be able to see Start and end times as well as dates.  Perhaps the ability of formatting the date fields to show time as well if required.  Unless I have missed something.

JamesR, The ability to set a specific start and end time was not included in this release but it is something we are tracking feedback for.
