Auto populate cell based on date update request sent
Is there a way to auto populate a cell based on the date that an update request is sent?
I would like the cell (a date field) to auto fill with the date that the update request is sent. The update request is sent automatically based on other triggers.
Thanks!

I am not aware of any such feature. The only way I can think of is to check the update request and manually enter the date.

Thanks. That is what I am currently doing. I get a bit frustrated because it seems like everything I am doing is manual.

Yes. There are a lot of things that are manual still that seem like they should be a pretty standard automation feature/option.

Hi,
It could be set up with the help of a third-party solution like Zapier or similar.
Would that work?
Have a fantastic week!

Hello—
We currently don't have functionality to auto-populate a cell based on the date that an update request was sent. When you have a moment, please submit an enhancement request using the form under Quick links to the right of the community site to let our Product team know that you'd like to have this feature added to a future version of Smartsheet.
