Our project managers are responsible for creating new projects in our schedule. They enter a install start date and contract date. The dates for all the other tasks are formula driven from the install date. The image below shows our engineering tasks. Those 3 projects where entered within the past two days. All of our tasks where supposed to be completed last month or in December. It's impossible for us to do this unless time travel is real. Is there anyway to prevent them from entering a install date that doesn't allow any of the tasks to be completed after today's date. A warning or something to notify them that the install start date must be moved up to allow for engineering thru shipping. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Matt,
You could add am Alert & Action rule to alert someone that the date is in the past or add a conditional Formatting rule that would change the color if it's in the past.
Would that work?
Have a fantastic day!

All of the formulas I have tried have only gotten me so far as the "AND". Adding in the dates screws it up. The goal is to determine if…
I am getting a lot of REF errors for my predecessors and I can't figure out why. At first I thought I might have REF for predecessors to predecessors but that's not the case. When I export the file into Excel it shows the IDs in the place where it shows REF in SS. Each time I refresh the file I feel like different values…
I am trying to create a sheet summary, where the field is a formula that relies on a contact card within a column. However, it keeps returning a result of "#NO MATCH". The columns involved are, 1:) Priority (symbol column) for Up, Unchanged, and Down, and 2:) Contact Card column. I am trying to get a sheet summary formula…
