Is there a way to alert the user when, for example, they check a box, but other conditions are not currently being met?
I see I can send emails and Slacks and whatnot, but I just want something to appear on screen.
Thanks!
Hi John,
You can use conditional formatting for this.
Would that work?
Have a fantastic week!

We use to have validation messages in MS Access, I have not seen this feature in Smartsheet. Like the reply says above, you can raise a visual alert by changing the formatting of the row, or a cell instead.
You could also set up an IF function to display a word or phrase in a column based on the validation - but it isn't the same as an onscreen validation message.
Good question btw!
Kind regards
