Standard Emails

Hi all,

Been looking but cannot find an answer. I am using SmartSheet with a rental property I have. I want to send guest the information on the property a week before they arrive. I have set up a date field that is a week before check-in. I can see using that as the trigger, but my email appears to be too long and also I want to attach the same attachment to each email, which doesn't seem possible. Any suggestions?

The only suggestion I can make for the first issue is shortening the length of the email.

 

As for the attachment... You can attach it to the row and then make sure Attachments are included when sending the notification.

Hi Marc,

I would have a link to the attachment instead and if the text is too long I would add another link or include it in the first attachment. 

Would that work?

How would you include a link to an attachment? I assume it would have to be stored online somewhere?

Paul,

Yes, it would have to be stored online. In Google Drive, Dropbox or similar. 

One way to do it in Smartsheet is to add the attachment to the sheet and then go to that attachment and select Send Selected Attachment and copy the link to the attachment shown under the Message window and paste that link in the alert.
