Help locking a column
I locked a column (im the admin). But somehow another user that has admin permissions as well was able to change a cell within the locked column. It erased the formula.
Am I missing something? How do I make it to where I'm the only one that can change the cells in that locked column.
Thanks in advance.

Admin permission is permitted to update locked cells. Lowered the other users permission to Editor.

Admins have access to edit locked cells. I second VAcePro's suggestion. Lower the other user's access to editor and that will prevent them from editing locked columns or rows.

Will do. Got it thanks!

Glad I could be of service.

Hi Steve,
I'd suggest creating templates of sheets containing formulas —that way you can recover your formulas from the template if they get deleted. More on this here: https://help.smartsheet.com/articles/522123-creating-using-templates
I'd also suggest scheduling a recurring backup to have a copy of your data. Keep in mind backups don't preserve formulas due to the differences between Excel and Smartsheet formula syntax, but they're great to have incase your data goes missing. If needed, more information on this can be found in our help article: https://help.smartsheet.com/articles/506499-back-up-your-data
