Hi All, 

I am just learning the features of SmartSheet. I have created alerts using a contact column and written emails asking for updates. My question is, Is there a way to address the email to the person e.g 

Dear @name, 

Please update...

Yes, there is. You can use so-called placeholders in the alert message.
