Symbols not showing in reports

I have a large Smartsheet grid that contains important information against a list of devices. Some of this information shows the status of some testing and is displayed as symbols.

Rather than share the whole sheet with staff, I would rather share a selected few columns in a report.

However, symbols & dropdowns do not appear to show in a report.

I've searched the community and can only find one unanswered question from 3 years ago.

(This discussion board is pretty poorly laid out for getting support BTW, you can't even sort search results... Is this 1998?)

    Hi Alex,

    It looks like you submitted a support ticket regarding this behavior. Based on what I found, it seems like you built a report and then changed either the column name or the column type from the source sheet.

    When a column (name or type) changes after a report is build, the report builder will display (column not found) next to the column name and the column will appear blank.

    It sounds like you resolved this by removing the column from the report builder and then inserting the column back in.
