Make the rich text editor edit report cells on the dashboard

Greetings everyone,

I was wondering if using the rich text widget to edit a cell in your report on the dashboard live is possible.

The logic behind it is:

The rich text editor is linked to the cell from a report and updates data simultaneously.

Thus, I wouldn't need to go back and forth to the report and then to the dashboard.

- The data in the cell is just updated through the text editor, or even just editing that cell ( making an interaction ) to edit the text in place, on the Dashboard itself.

Hello,

The Rich Text widget currently doesn't allow you to display cell data. I believe you may be referring to the Metric widget, but this widget allows you to display content from one or more cells in a sheet only.

A potential work around would be publish your sheet and then embed the published sheet into your dashboard using the Web Content widget. This will allow you to make changes to your sheet directly from the dashboard. You could also use the Metric widget to summarize or highlight important data from the sheet.

I second this! Our logic would be that it would make it possible to edit a dashboard rich text from a mobile device.
