Smartsheet and Google Docs Merge

I'm trying to add on Smartsheet Merge to Google Docs and keep getting the same error message ScriptError: Authorization is required to perform that action.

Extremely frustrating as the Google Account accepts the link but unable to proceed further?

Can anyone help with this please
