Checkbox columns

Hello,

 

I am trying to have a mandatory field in a sheet based on checkboxes. Basically I want 2 columns, one of them will be a checkbox and if that checkbox is selected, I want the second column to be a mandatory field and be filled out. Ideally my second column will be a Yes/No dropdown but I understand this might not be feasible. So my primary goal is to have the second column be mandatory after in the first column the checkbox is checked if that makes sense.

Unfortunately there is no data validation within Smartsheet forms. I would suggest putting in a Product Enhancement Request.

In the meantime, Google Forms DOES have data validation and can be integrated very easily into a Smartsheet Sheet.
