Creating a customer Work Order form.
Good day!
We are looking to change our current system of work orders (creating it manually on a hard copy) to doing it via Smartsheet. There doesn't appear to be a template already in existence. Has anyone ever created one?
One of our primary concerns is how do we get a customer to authorize the work?
Thanks
Rob

You may not find exactly what you are looking for so the easiest thing is to build it yourself based on your sheet structure.
See this article on WebForms

For true authorization, you might consider DocuSign.
It is already integrated with Smartsheet.

In addition to what has been said above you also have the option of using Google Forms to enter the data and Smartshhet Merge to Google doc for printed/Electronic output.

Many thanks Craig & James!

Hi Robb,
I have created a few workflows for work orders. They all start via a form which I use to capture the Service Request. The request then lands in our Service Request queue where we assign the work to an assignee via an update request. We dont use authorizers, but you could always send an update/row request to the authoriser to change the status to 'Authorised'. The cell's audit trail/history will track who/when the status was changed.
Email me at stuart@pocketfm.com if you would like to discuss further.
