Hi
Can I:
Duplicate a smartsheet where we ourselves can color our duplicate smartsheet without making changes in the master smartsheetet?
Best regards
Jacob
Hi Jacob,
Yes, you can! You can Save as new to create a copy and change it any way you'd like.
Depending on your need you could also save a sheet as a template if that would make it easier.
Would that work?
Have a fantastic week!

Hi Andrée
Not quitei want to make changes to colors etc. in the copy smartsheet but if the customer puts new lines into the mother smartsheetet, then they must automatically also be included in the copy.
Ok.
Am I understanding you correctly that you want to automatically add the rows that are added to the Main sheet to another sheet? Can you explain what you mean by the colors?
Can you describe your process in more detail and maybe share the sheet(s) or some screenshots? (Delete/replace any confidential/sensitive information before sharing) That would make it easier to help. (share too, andree@getdone.se)

Have you considered having your customer use a form to add new content to your spreadsheet? Then they wouldn't have to see the main smartsheet to begin with. Also, you could share a report with them that would allow them to view certain content from the main sheet. Just some ideas as you consider your workflow processes.

For more on reports:
we are a print company and we make jobs for various of our customers where we use smartsheet. It is typically the customer's smartsheet that is used and we are only invited to the cases. We want to make our own changes to the smartsetet without the customer seeing these changes. Since we have different production methods, we want to color the different lines in the sheet so that each employee can see what to do, but we do not want to change the client's sheets. We also want to control the different lines with colors for like started, finished, On pallet and checked etc., but we do not want the customer to see this.
At this point, we make an Excel document and color it to our needs, but every time there are changes, we need to create a new sheet. This is not durable or safe.
Not sure that I can use this for my problem, but I will watch the links
thanx
Sounds interesting!
I'd be happy to have a quick chat about how to best set it up?
Please e-mail me at andree@getdone.se and well take it from there.

Is this possible? eg: 10 rows(person A, comment) I want Row 1 to go to person A and for them to only see their row and only comment in their specific section, Row 2 → person B, etc, etc. Any help…

I've got a sheet set up with multiple tasks assigned to different people. When printing the sheet the comments are all listed at the bottom of the sheet rather than under the relevant tasks. Is there a setting that allows the comments to be printed under each task ?
