Have a project tracking sheet that we want to capture customer approval thru Smart Sheet. Would like to have a time stamp and lockdown of the field once they approve so that we have documentation. All we can do right now is send notification thru SS to update the line with approval and get the approval e-mail back and attach the e-mail to the line.

Why not use the Discussion area per Row so you have an audit trail of all the comments and approvals. Add the system columns that track who changed what and when automatically but maybe hide them for easy viewing? Then once a decision is made, Lock the Row. Dont forget Cell History too?

Great name. I do this with Docusign. It a great system to do for this type of system. The long of the short is you link your company document in Docusign and link it to smarthsheet labs to smartsheet. The forms that are signed are stamped and signed and are legally binding. The system is fast and allows for changes to be made. When all parties have signed it the form is attached to the row in Smartsheet. It is also stored in Docusign. That is alot to take in but the system is great and can be done from a tablet or a phone.

Have you always done this through Docusign or did you have an approval workflow in Smartsheet before then move it into Docusign?
