% complete value not adjusting start date of next task

Hello

 

I am hoping someone can help please, here is my problem

 

I have a few tasks, dependent on each other - D is dependent on C, C is dependent on B, B is dependent on A etc etc.

 

I have a complete tick box for them and also a % complete column

 

Task A is complete, Task B is 40% complete, Task C is still showing it starting tomorrow when i want it to show i still have 60% of B to complete before i can start C.

 

The next task 'C' is not taking into account the % complete value of its predecessor and adjusting its start date - what do i need to do to enable this?
