Weekly update requests
Hi all ,
I am coordinating a project portfolio with many projects assigned to colleagues .
I have set a formula in a column wich takes the value of a " yellow ball " when a project is ongoing . And I want an update request to be sent automatically every THURSDAY so that , the colleague to whom the project is assigned can fill the status column .
Can you help me ?

When you hover your mouse on a row, the row turns dark, and there is a black rectangle on the far left of the row.
Right click that rectangle and you will see a series of options come up. One of them is send update request. Click that, and you will have a popup.
One of the options is Delivery. Select the edit button next to that and you can choose what options you want.

Hi Alain,
Do you only want the Update Request to send after it becomes yellow?
Have a fantastic week!

Thanks .
But I have about 150 tasks (projects ) to deal with , then I want to manage this automatically by means of alert and actions options .
Do you know what I mean ?

Is the sheet opened on a regular basis? Can you expect that the sheet will be opened at least once on thursday? If so you can build a helper column to send the notifications.
=if(and(weekday(today()) = 5, [Project Completion] <> "Complete"),1,0)
Then send a notification based off the helper column to the contact column using the sheet level update request. The sheet wont update the column if it isn't opened as smartsheet likes to conserve their resources. There are ways around this, but none are really very clean.
