Allocating the % of the time can be worked during the day

I am trying to allocate the time that the employee can use for that task during the day to smartsheet.

How can I for example if employee has 8 hours of work to do on one task, but he can only spend 50% of his day to this task. This means it will take him 2 days instead of 1 day since he can only work for 4 hours a day. How can I include this to the smartsheet so that start and finish date will be calculated depended on the result of allocated % and the total days of work the task require.

I want to allocated depending on each task, and not by resources, so resource chart wont work.

This was able to be calculated through MS Project. I am trying to use smartsheet instead of MS Project, but I just can't find this function in smartsheet.

Hi happysatomi,

As you have found, the duration column will not change based on value entered in the allocation % column. When you have a moment, submit a Product Enhancement Request to let our Product team know that you'd like to have this functionality in Smartsheet.

Thank you @Alejandra. I assume then that means right now, you cannot input allocation %. 

If I change it to business version, do you know if I can use allocation% in some kind of the format? Thank you!
