Is there a way to send a weekly email reminder to specific people? They are shared to the sheet but I don't want the notification to go to everyone shared to the sheet.
Can it be sent as a link (to the report) instead of as an attachment?
It can't with that method. We would have to send it as an alert instead.
Can you send an alert to a report (not a sheet) to specific people (not everyone shared to it)? Want to send an email to a specific group of people with a link to a report.
It seems like the best solution would be to set up an alert that would send to the specified people and in the message, there will be the link to the report.
Would that work?
Yes, that would work as long as the alert was back to the report and not the underlying sheet.
The alert will always include the link to the sheet it's sent from but also the link to the report that's added.
Hello Smartsheet community!
We’re hoping to get some guidance and see what's possible. Our staff would like to get notified of all past due tasks in a single aggregated email reminder (they get too many emails, so aggregated information is essential).
Here's what we think our ideal scenario is, but any guidance would be much appreciated.
1) Create "Past Due" Reports, per user (for us, this is filtered tasks showing items that don't have a completion date and a due date past today).
2) Weekly on Monday morning, if there are any items in that past due report (in each individual’s report), then send that individual an email link to their specific report or sheet (live, not PDF or Excel) – so that they can easily update and add completion dates for their tasks). If that individual doesn’t have any past due items (their Past Due Report is empty/has no items), then don’t send anything to that user.
Any guidance would be much appreciated. Is this possible?
Best,
Spencer
I'm receiving this message every time I try to open my sheets. I'm the only admin user. I have already performed proper troubleshooting, such as clearing the cache, logging in incognito, and logging out and back in, but the issue remains unresolved. It's been a few days, and I'm unable to track our projects and this…
I’ve created an automation that generates a document and forwards it to the individual specified in a cell. The line item also has several additional attachments associated with it. Is there a way to include those attachments with the generated document?
I have an automation set up that copies a row to another sheet each day. The automation itself works correctly, but the problem is that it copies the formulas rather than the values, which causes the formulas to break and return errors. How can I configure it to copy only the values instead of the formulas?
