delete rows by employee to avoide tasks completion

all i need my employee to do is click the button and change the status of the job.

 

i have tried giving view access but they can not click the button to update the status to change it to done or compelted

 

i have given aceess as editor and admin, but then the task can be deleted by empployee

 

the reason i am trying to buy the membership is that i can controll the tasks and jobes are not forgotten, but this is does not give me the security to take it

 

also if i fire one employee who was invited to smartsheet after they left the company still they can log in and acess my info which has no controll over this

 

need urgent help!

If you're wanting your employees to update the status of tasks but not edit any other information on the sheet, you might consider setting up some recurring Update Requests: http://help.smartsheet.com/customer/portal/articles/504779. They'll get an email with a link that will open a form, and can update the information included in the form without needing to be shared to the sheet with Editor permissions. If you <a href="http://help.smartsheet.com/customer/portal/articles/522077">lock</a> all of the columns in the sheet except for the one your employees need to update, that information won't be editable in an Update Request. 

 

When someone is shared to a sheet and they leave your company, you can un-share the sheet from their account by clicking on the Sharing tab and then clicking on the "x" next to that person's email address to remove their access to that sheet.
