Sharing a Folder in a workspace

Please add my vote for folder level sharing, this is currently quite restrictive. An example of how I use Workspaces and Folders would be: create a Workspace for all of my Active Projects, another for Closed Projects. Then create folders within the workspace for each project where I would want all key project stakeholders to have access to all project documents.
Using a Workspace for each project becomes very messy and unorganised as I would have active project Workspaces mixed in with closed project Workspaces, as well as all the other types of Workspaces I use, e.g. Team Management, Processes, Support, etc.

Where is this on the list of in enhancements?
This is a HUGE issue
This continues to be an issue that we either have to give everyone access – NO
Or we have to spend lots of time providing access to several people to several different sheets within the WS. - Time consuming
We are sometimes creating a 2nd WS just for a different group of people - this is certainly not ideal - Time Wasted
How many more points does this topic need?

I have just created my Community account to also chime in on this issue and add a vote/request for this enhancement to be made.
Not being able to grant and withhold access to a mid-tier organizational item (the folder), within workspaces is a pretty big issue!
Is this request/enhancement being acted upon? Thanks!

Very bizarre that this feature is not here given how much time it saves - a feature I love about Google Drive.
Labelling a folder "shared with managers" and then trusting that everything inside is shared with said managers seems logical to me.Plus 1 for this feature as well please

We are working with many different projects/clients/subcontractors and very much need folder level permissions.
Has anyone found a workaround? There are way too many projects to become their own workspaces which would make the entire system clunky and un-useable.
Please make this feature!
