Wondering if anyone has done any formulas for either Planned Value (PV), Earned Value (EV), into their SS projects? I have all the costing, tasks, opex/capex.%Complete,dates.. in my projects and this would be my next step
Tom,
I am looking for the exact same thing - ie how to show earned value of projects with Smartsheet.
Both schedule and cost.
And generate the curve for reporting.
Let me know if you find anything and I will do the same.
Rob
HI Robert,
Good day and thanks for your interest. I have done some of the following work so far..
-Already have my main budget at Completion (BAC)
-My Actual cost numbers come from a weekly report (AC)
-My SS project auto calulates the % Completed
-I created a formula for my Earned Value (EV) %Complete * BAC Example: .50 * $20,000 = $10,000
Still working the more complicated formulas , Thanks, Tom
Got it and thanks for the reply.
For an Earned Value curves:
Cost Variance is CV = BCWP - ACWP
Schedule is similar with SV = BCWP - BCWS.
Are these typically plotted on the same curve, or 2 separate curves?
I am starting from scratch - did you find a excel or other spreadsheet which can graphically take th evalues and display to a Earned Value Curve?
