Date Function not working
Howdy Experts
I am trying to get a month number from a date in a corresponding column. I use the function =MONTH([Incident Date]1) but i get back #DATE EXPECTED. the date column has the date format of Jan 11, 2019. I just need the month number in order to run a report based on incidents that occur in their corresponding months. What am i doing wrong?

Hi,
It sounds like the Incident Date column isn't formatted as a Date type column. Is it?
Hope that helps!
Have a fantastic week!

Either that or the formula is in a Date type column instead of a text/number type.
