RYG symbols return date in different column

Okay so I'm almost done with my project but I ran into a snag and needed some advice. Basically what I'm trying to do is that when I pick the Green symbol todays date is input into the date column, Yellow = todays date in MISC column and leaves the previous date in the Date column. I've programmed for the green but every time I choose yellow it erases the previous date in the Date column. Is there a way to do this? Thanks in advance for your help with this.

If I understand correctly.

Unfortunately, when using the TODAY function, it will update to the current day always.

Do you want both dates to be automatic? Is the Green always chosen before the Yellow?

Lets see if I can explain this slightly better

Green = Input today() into [Date]

Yellow = input today() into [MISC] & leave original date in [Date] (i.e. don't change it)

Red = does nothing

Ok.

You can't have a date in the Date manually added and then change it to TODAY if something happens. Would it work if we added another column?
