Editor Moving Rows on a Sheet
I ran into a concern today with Smart Sheet. In an attempt to copy rows from someone else's sheet (on which I am an editor) to my task list so I could keep track of items assigned to me, I accidentally selected move. Unfortunately, once I did, it moved the rows and would not let me move them back. I was able to copy and paste them back in (and retyped any comments). It appears that while any editor can move rows from a sheet to a sheet they own, only the owner can move them back to their own sheet.
Has anyone else run into this issue or have a solution?

Hi sparlett,
When moving or copying rows to another sheet, you'll want to make sure the destination sheet includes identical column names and types (I'd recommend "Saving as New" without retaining sheet data). If it doesn't, data from the row(s) you moved will be inserted into new columns to the right of existing columns.
If you're not shared to the source sheet with Admin permissions, you wont be able to move the row(s) back to the source sheet if both sheets don't have identical column names and types —since Editors cannot create new columns.
If needed, more information on this can be found in our help article: https://help.smartsheet.com/articles/504748-moving-rows-columns-cells#moverownewsheet
