Percent Columns in Correspondance with N/A tasks

Hello,

I am trying to create a gantt chart for tradeshows that allows you to grey out certain tasks that are not relevant to that show. I have a conditional formatting set to grey out the task and the row if you type "N/A" into the percent column. I am not wanting to delete the task/row, but just make it irrelevant - if that makes any sense. However, the percent column messes with it when it is a child task, is there a way that I can set a formula to ignore N/A tasks/rows in the percent column?

 

Attached is a screenshot with what I am referencing. The percent complete column parent task shows 99% complete, when I am wanting it to show 100% because two of the children tasks are greyed out.

Hi Avery,

 

As far as I'm aware, you cannot add formulas or make edits to the parent column in this case. You can request this as an Enhancement Request with this form.

If you need not use the % Complete in the project settings, it could work.

Is that an option?

Hi Andree,

I tried using the SUM=Children formula after I changed the option in the % Complete column to "none", but that did not help me either, it just made everything more confusing to read because it added all the percentages under a parent task.

Do you know of any other formulas I could attempt?

If you do NOT have dependencies enabled, you can enter into the Parent rows of the % Complete column

 

=AVERAGEIF(CHILDREN(), @cell <> "N/A")
