Cannot embed Data Studio Report on dashboard

I trying to add a Google Data Studio report to a Smartsheet dashboard using the Web Content widget.  The explanatory text says that it can be done, but the link is not recognised as being valid.

How can I achieve the desired result?

By the looks of the above image, that is the shared link only. Try using the embed code. To generate this, follow the below process:

1. Sign in to Data Studio.
2. Edit the report you want to embed.
3. Share the report:
   • For a public report, use the link sharing options "Public on the web" or "Anyone with the link can view"
   • For a private report, enter one or more users or Google Groups
   • G Suite users: To limit the report to users in your domain, turn link sharing on and select the "Anyone at [domain] with the link can view"
4. Select File > Embed report, or in the upper right, click .
5. Click Enable embedding. A dialog box appears:

   To embed a specific page of your report, navigate to that page before generating the embed link.

6. Ensure that the Embed Code option is selected. The iframe code appears in the text area below.
7. (Optional) Adjust the size of the iframe using the width and height controls
8. Click COPY TO CLIPBOARD

   You must use the link generated by this dialog. You can't embed a report using the standard shareable link.

9. Edit the HTML source of the page in which you want to embed the report. Paste the iframe code where you want the report to appear.
