Unable to Scroll While in a Formula

Hello,

I am unable to scroll while editing a formula. For example, I am in line 648, and need to make it equal to line 45. If I simply hit =, and attempt to scroll out of view from 648 it gives me a #UNPARSEABLE error. I have been using SmartSheet for the better part of a decade, and never had this issue.

Thanks for the info, Andree! I reached out, and this is apparently a known issue, with no ETA for resolution. SmartSheet's suggestion is to manually type out the formula with column name. For example: =[Column Name]3. Unfortunately for me, the SmartSheet I am working on is at the max number of rows. This is going to take quite awhile. Pretty disappointed in SmartSheet for this considering I am the reason my company uses this tool.

Would it help/work if you added the text but added a unique character in the beginning and then you'd replace that with nothing and activate the formulas.

Try something like this.

*=[Column Name]3 and then using Find and Replace with to replace the * with nothing and then it will activate the formulas.

I've had the exact same issue starting yesterday. A very simple SUM formula is now not working across multiple lines. Makes the automation part of SmartSheet a bit less functional. I've submitted a support ticket, but no response to date.
