Zapier and Formulas

I'm trying to use Zapier to input formulas into a Text/Number column (which does support formulas) and it comes over as a text string: '=INDEX(PARENT(), 1)

I'm using Control Center which creates new rows on a sheet via cell links, but the auto-fill function doesn't seem to work when the new rows are added here; hence trying to use Zapier as a workaround.

Any idea why this is?

Hi Rochelle,

I believe Zapier will only update the "value" property of the cell and not the "formula" property. You might be able to get the results you're looking for with an HTTP call. See minute 12:45 of this video for an example: https://help.smartsheet.com/learning-track/user-education-beginner/smartsheet-has-api-what-and-why-would-i-want-use-it

I'd also suggest submitting a Product Enhancement Request for our Zapier integration.
