Max Capacity error on sheet w/3,256 rows and 8 columns
I am getting the "this action could not be completed because your sheet as exceeded the maximum recommended size" error on a sheet that I don't think is at the maximum. I have 3,256 rows and 8 columns which, if my math is correct, is 26,048 cells, no where near 200,000. I got the error when trying to add another column.
One odd thing is when I view the sheet properties it says there are 13,818 rows inserted (see screen shot). I only have 3,256 rows in the sheet (see screen shot). Why the discrepancy?
The Excel file I imported from is only 507KB in size.
There are hyperlinks in the file. Is that what is pushing me over the limit somehow?
Thanks much!

What is the highest row number you have on the sheet INCLUDING blank rows. Try deleting all of the blank rows and then add your column.

I agree with Paul... delete every row beneath that 2236. I imagine that excel inserted a bunch of blank rows which would mess up your sheet.
