Single or multiple project Status Widget
Hi,
I would like to see a progress report as shown in the attached image of individual project sheets or across many project sheets. Functionality would include clicking the numbers to see the rows and take action on them.

Hi Marc,
Great idea! That would be a great addition to Smartsheet features.
Please submit an Enhancement Request when you have a moment.
Hope that helps!
Have a fantastic week!

You could create a sheet that displays these metrics then use metrics widgets to display it on a dashboard. From there you could create a report for each status and have the interaction take you to said report.
-
I will add that as a request.
Paul - I also followed your idea, and came up with this. It's clunky in comparison to the functionality found in tools like Asana and Jira. I'm looking for easy drill down to just the not-started tasks, or pivot the view to progress by assigned users. Here's what I ended up with:
-
To reflect something more along the lines of the images in your original post. I would suggest two separate section on your metrics sheet (or two separate metrics sheet if you prefer).
.
Section 1:
The data used to build the graph.
.
Section 2:
Two columns.
First column Second Column
Not Started f
In Progress f
Complete f
.
Next you would create your reports. Each report would look at your task sheet and pull rows that only match a specified status. You would have individual reports for each of the different statuses.
.
From there you could build your graph off of section 1 as you have already done.
.
Then you would use multiple Metrics Widgets to display your Statuses and their respective counts from the second section.
You could even format the fonts so that they mimic the colors in your graph which would allow you to remove the legend.
You would then set the widget interaction to take you to a Smartsheet Item and have it pointed to the respective Status's report.
.
Hopefully the below screenshots will help.
