COUNTIFS formula with multiple criteria

Hello,

I've been having trouble with a formula to find out if new instructors (I also have returning instructors on the spreadsheet) attended a conference. Here are the details.

I want to count column 6 "attended conference" when checked, only if column 3 "new instructor" is also checked.

I've tried several variations but can't seem to get this one!

Hi,

Try something like this.

=COUNTIFS([Attended Conference]:[Attended Conference]; 1; [New Instructor]:[New Instructor]; 1)

The same version but with the below changes for your and others convenience.

=COUNTIFS([Attended Conference]:[Attended Conference], 1, [New Instructor]:[New Instructor], 1)

Depending on your country you’ll need to exchange the comma to a period and the semi-colon to a comma.
