Is there a plan to include Office documents such as Word Docs or PowerPoints into the functionality of proofing without having to convert them to PDF for uploading them?
Hi Michael,
I know that Office documents is planned and you won't need to convert them to PDF's as I understand it.
Hope that helps!
Have a fantastic day!

I'm the product manager for proofing, and that is a high priority roadmap item for my team! We will keep you updated on when that will be launched. For now the best workaround is to save as a PDF on Word, PPT, and other file types.
Thanks,
Brian
Brian,
Do you have a timeline for the Microsoft file types being added to Proofing. This could be an awesome platform for SOP development within one of my projects.
Hi Brian,
Do you have a timeline for the addition of Word documents to Proofing?

Hi can we expect this functionality, I mean MsWord document proofing in the nearest time? If so, when?
Another vote for wanting this functionality.
Been looking for this functionality for some time. Any update on an ETA? We exchange Word documents internally, but especially with our Legal team, and they REQUIRE the Word file to edit/track changes.
Hi @Dennis Wierzbicki
@Brian Bosché shared the following recently.
We will be supporting Document Proofing for Word docs and 50+ other file types later this summer, so this should help in your use case. You could also send them out as a PDF if the multiple approval route gets too complex, and then allow them to download the final completed word doc from attachments.
Be safe and have a fantastic week!

Hi, does anyone have an update on this functionality being released?

That was in 2020...hopefully, it was completed?

Is there any update on when the feature to directly edit word documents in Smartsheet will be integrated?
Thank you!
We are a construction company and I am trying to build automations and a dashboard for tracking "Outstanding Update Requests" - Each of our Line-Item tasks require us to acquire information from 3rd parties. This information takes standard forms (Start Date, End Date, Comments, Attachments, etc), but the specific fields…
Since I tried to report this as a technical issue and was redirected by a useless AI to this Community, I'd like to ask if anyone here has had the same experience? Screenshot attached, and needless to say, it is not convenient at all.
