same rows in different sheets - can i make changes to a cell in one sheet and it gets updtd in other

I am not sure if this is possible within Smartsheet, but still keeping my question across

I have a master sheet with a workflow. here a row is copied (not moved) to another sheet if it has the Name of the Responsible person. I am using this sheet for tasks. This workflow is running all fine.

Now what i want is that when this person marks the status as complete in his sheet, the same should appear in the Master sheet as well. The rows are identical and the column names are same in both sheets.

is this possible. if not in this way, i am open to any other options as well.

Is there any unique identifier for each row? If yes, we could probably use cross-sheet formulas to link them together.

Can you describe your process in more detail and maybe share the sheet(s) or some screenshots? (Delete/replace any confidential/sensitive information before sharing) That would make it easier to help. (share too, andree@getdone.se)

I actually have pretty much the same question.

this is my sheet where all new clients are added (there's no personal information, I'm just starting to build this so all of these entries are fake)

When a customer's status is changed to "awaiting audit" on this sheet the row gets COPIED to the awaiting audit sheet. Then from each subsequent stage when the customer status changes (always by a user) the row is MOVED to the next stage. The dashboard below shows all of the different stages.

What I'd like is for the Client database to always show the current status of the customer, i.e., show on which sheet they appear. Any ideas?

Also, I don't know if it's relevant but on each sheet more rows are added and carried forward but the ones that are no longer needed are hidden.

Do you have any unique ID or similar for each client?

We could probably structure something with VLOOKUP or INDEX/MATCH and then look at the last sheet and go backward to show the status from that.

Make sense?
