Update Field Value when Status Changed?

I am using Card View / Kanban for managing my tasks. I would like to have a Date/Time field updated automatically to the current Date & Time when a task is changed to DONE.

Smartsheet support said this can't be done which I find really surprising. Anyone know of a way to do this? In the world of Excel, I could have used VB to make this change.

The third-party service, Zapier, is an excellent option for this scenario. Is that an option for you?
