Analyzing the raw data from a form ie: pie chart?

When you create a survey is there a way to have the raw data from the form develop into a pie chart or tabulate such as “48% rate current uniforms as a 2 star” type of thing. Almost like Survey Monkey does?

Is there a better way to export this data to view the responses from a survey?

You would need to create a pivot table. For this example we will say that people can select one of two options from a dropdown (column headers in bold).

Option............Count

Option A..............f

Option B..............f

The formula used would be

=COUNTIFS([Selection Column]:[Selection Column], Option@row)

This will give you a count for how many times each selection was selected.

Then you can use this data in a Chart Widget on a dashboard to create your pie chart or run further formulas to calculate percentages, etc.

Check out the resource posted above. You can also point your form towards the dashboard in if you want the submittor to be able to review the analysis by using the form options.
