Children rows only for specific columns

Hi there,

I am currently trying to merge two sheets that have been created in my company. One has a list of projects/sales on it the other one has just the hardware for each project/sale. I had tried adding a new child row for each product under each project/sale to track quantities and production dates for each product. But this way I either end up having to copy the parent information into the children rows or I would end up with a whole lot of empty cells.

Is there a way to nest the products with quantities somehow ?

Outside of collapsing the parent rows or having the parent row data entered on the child rows (which can be done via formulas), I can't think of any way to really get rid of the empty cells.

Are you able to provide some screenshots? Sensitive/confidential data can be hidden, removed, or replaced with "dummy data" as needed.

The main list with all projects has a lot of columns but the Children have only got 3-4 columns relevant to them. Currently it is solved by using two sheets but having the information in one sheet would be easier for an overview.

Is the one sheet going to be the only one used, or is it more of an overview with the two separate sheets being used?

I would prefer to only use one sheet.

In that case you will want the data "hard coded" into the one sheet. This would either be manual entry or you could use copy paste.

By my understanding, you want this one sheet to replace the two sheets which means the end result could have the other two sheets deleted. Do I have that correct?

Yes that is correct I would like only one sheet without too many empty cells. So only one sheet has to be maintained.
