For forms, can you add an alert to let the submitter know if they have omitted a field?

We have a form we have created for people to fill out and submit. If they submit it without filling out all the fields, can we set up an alert to let them know?
Also, if they don't complete AND don't submit the form, will it eventually time out? How long will it stay open before it times out?

You have 2 options on the alert. Either you can make the fields required so they have to fill them out via the form options, or you can have a workflow that checks for blank cells and sends an update request when they are found. Usually it is much easier to simply make the fields required in order to submit.
The form should stay open until closed. Smartsheet does not have the option to time out a form currently.
