Update Request using Automated Workflow
I have created an update request in workflow and I have selected which columns I want on the update request form. Some of those columns are locked, but when I asked someone to test this for me, they can change all of the information on the Update Request Form, even the info on the locked columns. Also, the person who is testing for me has Free User rights, but I have not shared my sheet with them. Is there a solution for this?
Thanks,
Wanda J.

Hi Wanda,
I wasn't able to replicate this issue: if the columns are locked and the user you are sending the Update Request to is not shared to the sheet, or they are shared but their permissions are below Admin, they should not be able to edit the locked columns. They can see the information, but not edit it.
Please see our Help Center article here:

If the update request recipient is the sheet Owner or shared with Admin-level permissions, locked rows and columns will be editable from the update requests
If you are experiencing different behaviour, please contact our Support team, providing them with screen captures of the form as it's received, along with images of your sheet in Grid view, the Automation, and the email addresses that you used to test.
Thanks!
