Drop Down List / Column (add to list, based on User entry)

I know you can restrict the Drop Down List by what you enter into the list; however, my question is, if I create a form or have the end user enter a new entry (for the Drop Down List), can that entry now be part of the entire Drop Down List?

For example: The unrestricted Drop Down List is: Apple, Banana, Pear and then someone comes along and enters Peach; now the Drop Down List is: Apple, Banana, Pear, Peach

Unfortunately, it's not possible at the moment, but it's an excellent idea!
