Attachments Disappear in Sheet Requires Refresh

Hi,

We noticed "Attachments" in a sheet tend not to appear intermittently without any rhyme or reason. When it does occur, a simple refresh corrects the issue.

Sheet is shared among three teams, any team member may go without seeing an attachment. However, we've seen where one person can see attachment and another cannot.

When the issue occurs, no attachment is visible on any row until a REFRESH is done. The issue is sporadic, it may go a few days without an issue until Wham.

Worksheet in question contains over 2,000 rows with just as many attachments and is about 3 1/2 years old.

Any insight is appreciated.

I am experiencing similar issues. We have a sheet that had attachments on multiple rows and now they are all gone. No amount of refreshing seems to bring them back. What would cause attachments to just disappear?

Can’t you see them in the attachment overview at all or is it the icon missing in the sheet?

We have the same issue, we have up to 10 team members using the sheet and all of out attachments have totally disappeared, the icon is not showing and i tried a different browser that was just the same. This is really critical that we get these attachments back, please provide a solution. Regards, Lincoln.

Can't you see the attachments either in the right pane or just the left attachment column that has disappeared?

If it's the attachment column, you can try to unhide all columns.

Did that fix it?

no the columns are not hidden, the attachments literally fell off.

I'm so pissed right now.

WTH?... this problem is happening 5 minutes before a big meeting... SmartSheets has know about this for over a year, and here I am, screwed.

How do you fix this?!! I can't have all of the thumbnails suddenly missing from my smartsheet!!! Those thumbnails are the whole reason I chose to use smartsheets.

Will someone please help instead of provide stupid responses like "did you try refreshing the page".. YES of course. None of that is helping.

Hi @dunit

There are a few of things we can check:

• First, is it possible that this column has been Hidden from your sheet by another Admin? (Right click any column > unhide all columns).
• If this hasn't helped, please check your browser zoom settings to see if this has "hidden" the column. See: Best Practices for Browser Zoom
• Please also try accessing the sheet from a different browser, in case this helps. See: System requirements and guidelines for using Smartsheet

In the meantime, you will still be able to access attachments from the menu on the right even if the left side column is hidden:
