Attachments in forms vs. sheets

When choosing attachments in sheets it gives you the option for upload from computer, g-drive, and hyperlink.

When using forms, the only option appears to be upload from computer. Is that the case or can a user select hyperlink or G-drive in a form?

Hi Jonathan,

You are correct - the ability to upload attachments from an online resource is only available at the workspace, sheet, row, or comment level within Smartsheet, and is not available when submitting a form. (Click here for more information).

This is a major issue for us. We plan to use the form feature extensively to manage internal requests, however the file upload has been disabled due to PII concerns. We can upload from approved tools like OneDrive and Dropbox, but not our computers. Is there anything on the roadmap that would fix this?

Would you be able to grant the users sharing permissions on the intake sheet where the form populates, so they can use the attachment feature there? You could set up a filter to show the Current User logged in (see here) if that would help.
