Check a task done from a report on a dashboard
It could be I misremembering --- I have a report that lists all the users tasks and the tasks are accompanied by a Done checkbox. Is there a way to allow users to check that box _from the widget on the dashboard_ rather than having to open the report or the source sheet.
Is this possible or a fever dream?

Hi Mary,
Reports are unable to be edited directly from a dashboard at this time, either from the Report widget or from the Web Content widget through a published link. (Please submit an Enhancement Request when you have a moment!)
There are two possible options:
You could set up the Advanced Option for the Report Widget be that when it's is clicked on, the user is directed to the source report where they can check the required boxes. (See here).
Alternatively, you could publish the source sheet(s) with Editor permissions and then embed these in a Web Content widget. This would allow users to make changes directly from the dashboard. (See here).
Let me know if I can clarify anything further!
Cheers,
Genevieve

@Genevieve P Thank you. I ended up doing option 1 but it was really option 2 that I was thinking of. I'll give that a try.
