How to display outstanding shipments in the dashboard?

I've created separate shipping sheets for individual projects that detail if and when items have shipped.

In the separate shipping sheets, I have a symbols column titled "Item Shipped?" which offers a choice of "yes, hold, and no" which is signified with a tick, exclamation mark and a cross. I also have a date column titled "Shipment Date".

My goal is to create a dashboard that pulls data from each individual shipping sheet, based on "Item Shipped?" or "Shipment Date", and can let me know of any outstanding shipments company wide.

However, I'm struggling to create this mythical dashboard as the metric widget is displaying the data in a messy and unappealing fashion. Is it because "item shipped?" isn't a numerical value?

Any advice offered would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Mark,

I’d recommend either using the Sheet Summary and possibly combined with a Sheet Summary Report or a so-called Master Metric Sheet where you’ll collect all metrics.

Would that work?

I would suggest a Row Report that will pull the rows that meet your criteria. The report could be a stand-alone, or it could be displayed on a dashboard using a Report widget alongside any other metrics you have calculated/will calculate.
