Contact Fields in Dynamic View
I have a Contact Field which I want users to populate through Dynamic view. The Dynamic view is over a Report. When I test entry into that Contact Field, it is pre-populating with all the users in our installation. The original field on the source sheet or report is not populated in this way.
Is this a bug or expected behavior? How do I get the Contact field to simply allow a user to enter an email without offering up a list of potential contacts?

Hi Mary,
It's expected behaviour that as you type in a Contact Field in Dynamic View, it will bring up possible selections by having all the users in your company's plan available to select in a drop-down list.
To adjust what this list shows, you can restrict the values in the Contact List column within the source sheet. This will then only show the specified values within your Dynamic View.
Let me know if this helps or if you have further questions!
Cheers,
Genevieve

Ah I see - in that case there is no way to stop the view from prompting other email addresses.
Users can enter in any email address, though, even if it's not on the list. The drop-down is meant to help by making contacts easy to access. Please submit an Enhancement Request when you have a moment!
Thanks,.

Thanks, my use case is not to populate the field at all. Users are entering an email from outside our system, so restricting the list on the source sheet, unless I can restrict it to NONE, won't work.
