Help! How can I cancel transferring items to another person(return all items back to previous owner)

I am the SysAdmin of an enterprise Smartsheet account. Due to a large number of layoffs I had to transfer sheets, workspaces, reports, etc. from the departing employee to supervisor. Unfortunately, I selected the wrong employee the transferred the items and I need to revert the transfer ASAP.

Anyone knows how to do this?

    Hi Marilu,

    There isn't a way to cancel a transfer once it has already been done.

    That said, all the transferred materials will appear in the new owner's account in a folder, named "Transferred from [email address of previous owner]." (See here for more information). You will just need to ask the new owner to move this folder into a workspace where the original owner is either the Admin or Owner of the workspace.

    This will allow the original owner to then move the folder out again, into their own sheets folder, and become the owner. Steps on this are also in the Help Center article linked above.
