Sending update confirmation emails to multiple users
Hi,
I have two contacts in one cell, and am sending update requests to the both of them, but I only need one of them to respond. Is there a way to get the UR confirmation email to send to both of them, so the other person knows they don't need to respond also?
Thanks for any help you can provide.

You could add in a Modified By column. This will update to whichever user submits the update request. Then you would use another contact column with a formula that will pull the other person's email opposite of who is in the Modified By column.
When John Doe submits the update request, Jane Doe's email will appear in this other contact column (and the other way around if Jane submits first).
Then you can set up an alert to send to whoever is in this other contact column.

Hi Paul,
That's what I was thinking too, but I couldn't figure out what formula to use that would pull the other person's email. My very simple "Contact emails - Modified by" clearly didn't work. How would you do it?

Well this ended up being a little more complicated than I initially thought it would be. Standby while I do some more testing.
