Calendar App - Displaying full name

I've noticed that there is different behaviour with how the resource infomration is displayed if the Assigned To column in the sheet is set to allow multiple assignments, or one resource only.

When allowing multiple resources to be selected, the full name is deisplayed in hte Calendar app. However, when you limit the Assigned to column to a single contact per cell it displays the full email address.

It seems like the combination I want (single contact per cell but displaying full name) isn't possible, or am i missing something?

Thanks,

Mark

    Hi Mark,

You are correct: at this time single contacts are displayed as an email in the Calendar App (please submit an Enhancement Request when you have a minute!)

As an alternative, you could potentially add a helper column to pull the name and use this to display it, if the name is important for the Calendar. To do so, follow these steps:

    • Add a Text/Number column to the sheet
    • Add a reference function to the cells =[Contact List]@row, which will pull the Name of the user
    • Add the text column to the Calendar app
    • This will show the name of the user rather than just the email

    Cheers,

    Genevieve
