Adding numbers in a column that are links to other sheets
Good morning/afternoon everyone. I am just stumped. Looked throughout the community and I'm not sure what is wrong. I have several columns on what I'm calling a master tracking sheet that pulls info from 32 other individual sheets. I have used the same formula for each of the columns however the first column "open for business" doesn't calculate (add). E.g.:
=SUM([# Bus Cont Complete]2:[# Bus Cont Complete]33) adds up the numbers in the # Business Cont Complete in rows 2 through 33
=SUM([# Cash Flow Complete]2:[# Cash Flow Complete]33) adds up the numbers in the # Business Cont Complete in rows 2 through 33
When I use the same formula: =SUM([Open for Business?]2:[Open for Business?]33) I get 0 even though there are numbers within the column.
Any suggestions?

Hi @Richard C,
Try changing the name of the column to something with just one word to test and to minimize naming issues.
What type of columns is the source data?
I hope that helps!
Be safe and have a fantastic weekend!

Thanks Andree! No luck trying to change the column name HOWEVER line one in each of the sheets is calculating the number of checked boxes. I changed it to a drop down menu of yes or no and changed the formula and it works.
Thanks for the great idea of checking the "type" of column. That did the trick!

How is the source data being populated?

I have 32 individual sheets and a master sheet where I pull all the data together. I’ve linked the cell in each row to populate a numeric number from each of the sheets. On the last row in each column I want to add them all together. I have seven columns and six are adding correctly using the formulas above except one. I’m using the same formula. Just strange I can’t get the one to work (open for business).
