Giving users access to only their assignments on a sheet/report

Hello,

I have a commission sheet set up to payout multiple agents and I only want the user to be able to access and see their payouts.

Is there any way to share a sheet where the logged in user (free user) can only see what was assigned to them? I know I can do this on a report but the sheet still needs to be shared in order for the user to see anything in the report.

@LisakayS It depends on what type of security restrictions you have on displaying data. For example, you could create a report and then publish the results (https://help.smartsheet.com/articles/522078-publishing-smartsheet-items). This would allow real-time access but risks exposing your data to anyone with the link.

You could also export a report to them --- they wouldn't need access to the report itself to do this (https://help.smartsheet.com/articles/516096-sharing-sending-reports). If there is need to see real-time data at will, this wouldn't be the best option. Also, people can forward an email to others.

We had a similar need. However, we ended up purchasing Dynamic View as we also wanted external people to update fields.
