Use a Group as a recipient in a Workflow?

In a workflow notification, is it possible to use a Smartsheet Group rather than only individual users?

We have a sheet that we'd like to send an alert to group of people when something changes. The group membership changes frequently, so using the Group for alerts rather than keeping track of members of the group and updating the workflow with individuals would be a nice feature.

Unfortunately, it's not possible at the moment, but it's an excellent idea!

Please submit an Enhancement Request when you have a moment

As a possible workaround, you could use a group email address if you have one.

Hi @Andrée Starå - I'll submit an enhancement requests. Seems like an obvious feature (kind of like being able to send an email to a Group).

For this sheet I was able to do a workaround by adding the Group to the sharing and then send the alert to everyone shared on the sheet. That won't always work, but it did in this case.
